Job DescriptionASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems.We are seeking highly motivated Electrical Engineers to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) anti-ballistic missile system project in Huntsville, AL.This position requires on-site work to be performed in Huntsville, AL. There are no remote work options.As GSS Electrical Engineer 3, you will support NGI Phase 1 development team efforts and work within an Agile environment. Your core tasks will entail the development electrical component design solutions. Under the direction of senior Electrical Engineers, responsibilities include supporting the development and defense of impact assessments, vetting design solutions through program boards/reviews, participating in proof-of-concept activities, and adhering to program procedures. Or 3 Years of Experience and a Masters' degree within a STEM fieldPrior experience with the design, test, and/or integration and deployment of electrical components, electrical ground support equipment (EGSE), or subsystemsUnderstanding and application of company electrical engineering technical standards; demonstrated electrical component design experience and impact assessment / DAR development exposureTechnical expertise and working knowledge of other related disciplineMust be able to meet GWS Firewall requirementsAbility to travel at least 10%Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment full timePreferred QualificationsBS in Electrical engineering preferredActive Secret Security Clearance, or higherRelease of engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and test procedureBurndown of nonconformances and/or root cause failure analysis of electronic systemsProblem solving not only for technical issues, but also for schedule, cost, resource and other project challengesMentoring and cross-training team members across a diverse set of technologies and electrical system architectures used to meet customer requirementsExperience using analytical software tools, such as MATLAB or Python, to analyze and reduce data to identify key characteristics and trendsLabVIEW programming and experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware and software products •LabVIEW FPGA development experienceDOORS and/or CAMEO exposureExperience with classified test systems or systems subject to cyber security policies and risk management framework (RMF)Experience with telemetry systemsExperience with mission critical and safety critical systems, components, connectors, cables, etc.Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Core Standards: MDA-QS-001- MAP, MDA-QS-003-PMAP, MDA Instruction 5000.20-INS (ETR Process)Familiarity with MIL-STD-1901A, MIL-STD-882, EWR-127, RCC 319, RCC 324, DoDEA 8510.01, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3ab, ECSSST-50-11CFamiliarity with the GMD domain and GMD Launch Support Systems hardwareEEO StatementASRC Federal and its Subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
