Overview Automotive Office Manager / Bookkeeper A successful new car dealership north of Boston is seeking an experienced automotive accounting professional to join their team. This person will be responsible to support daily accounting operations and support the Controller. This position is ideal for someone with dealership accounting experience who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have experience in cleaning schedules, reserves, journal entries, and be a team player looking for growth. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate office staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of all transactions Support the Controller with daily accounting functions Maintain and reconcile schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness Perform journal entries and general ledger maintenance Provide administrative and clerical support to the accounting team as needed Oversee/Assist with deal posting, payables, receivables, and title work to ensure accuracy and compliance Train and develop office personnel while maintaining dealership policies and internal controls Act as a point of contact between the office and other dealership departments Qualifications Prior automotive dealership accounting experience Strong understanding of schedules, reserves, and journal entries Strong knowledge of dealership accounting systems and processes (CDK, Reynolds, Tekion, or similar preferred) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Compensation & Benefits Salary in the $70,000 - $85,000 range based on experience.
