This is a Hybrid Work Eligible position. You may be required to come into the Operations Center in Berrien Springs, MI as needed to ensure business needs are met.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Acts as the second line of defense for Honor Credit Union by establishing the necessary governance (including training, policies, and procedures) relating to fraud risk.
  • Partners with the front line to review the effectiveness of controls and relevant metrics.
  • Monitors fraud activity across the portfolio and provides reporting to senior management noting trends and area of opportunity for improvement.
  • Performs investigations of fraud activity and partners with external stakeholders (such as law enforcement and other credit unions) to strengthen the effectiveness of the fraud risk program.
  • Works closely with second line partners to ensure fraudulent activity is properly reported, including filings of CTRs and SARs.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • College degree is required; or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Three to five years of similar or related experience. including prior investigation experience.
  • Experience within the financial services industry is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to keep finances in order.
  • Strong track record of forming internal partnerships is required
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products and a willingness to learn new systems
