With more than 300 clients throughout the U.S., we deliver comprehensive online and mobile solutions that support banks and credit unions, ranging from small community financial institutions to new, innovative direct banks. Summary: Apiture is seeking a seasoned UX/Front-End Architect to drive architecture and implementation details to our design system and define best practices for developers and designers using it. The ideal candidate has deep experience building design systems and is well versed in front end best practices. This will be a 6-month contract. Location (Wilmington, NC, Austin, TX, Remote): We have offices in Wilmington, NC and Austin, TX and while some positions need to be office based, we will consider remote candidates based on their time zone. Responsibilities: Evaluate existing architecture, including frameworks, libraries, and patterns used. Establish coding standards, best practices, and governance to ensure consistency and quality across projects and applications. Provide technical guidance and leadership to the front end development team. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as UI/UX designers, back end developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements, discuss technical feasibility, and ensure alignment between design and development. Develop prototypes or proof of concepts to validate technical feasibility, explore new technologies, or showcase potential solutions. Requirements: 7+ years in UI engineering and architecture 5+ years in building highly performant and scalable web applications using modern tech stacks and frameworks – HTML5/CSS3/React JS/Angular Strong background in building and establishing governance within design systems Strong interest in and understanding of UX best practices Experience working collaboratively with designers and developers Experiencing managing or leading other developers Bonus points for experience using Knapsack (this is the platform we will be using to build and maintain our design system)
