The Lutheran Home is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our day shift team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents by assisting with their activities of daily living. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists with daily personal care functions.
  • Assists with the feeding of residents.
  • Weigh residents using upright, chair and mechanical lift scale.
  • Assists in turning and positioning of residents.
  • Transfer residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention as indicated on the care plan.
  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment (cane, walkers, mechanical lifts, side rails, brace, splint, oxygen).
  • Helps keep residents' rooms clean and supplied.
  • Make/change beds (unoccupied and occupied).
  • Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance.
  • Perform skin checks and notify the nurse of any abnormalities in skin integrity.
  • Answer residents' calls and take appropriate action.
  • Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in resident's conditions or incidents to the nurse.
  • Communicates residents' requests or concerns in a timely manner.
In this full-time position, you will enjoy a set 2-week schedule with every other weekend off, working 7 out of 14 calendar days. The day shift hours are 6:45 am - 7:15 pm.

Requirements:
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Current Missouri CNA License
