Anchor Talent has partnered with an aggressively growing company looking to add Estimators to their team. There are 3 roles, 2 in DFW and 1 in Austin/San Antonio area. The right candidate will have a strong background in the steel industry to accurately determine the costs of projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and proposals. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of the steel fabrication process.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project proposals to prepare detailed cost estimates for steel fabrication projects.
  • Prepare analysis of material, labor, and vendor costs to supply all materials required for project based on designs and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
  • Prepare and present detailed and itemized cost breakdowns to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Assist in developing and maintain a database of historical costs and estimating standards.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Provide value engineering options to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Track current and past bids, providing project updates to stakeholders and leadership
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction methods.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a HS Diploma, Associates or Bachelor's preferred
  • 4+ years experience with steel structures, construction and fabrication
  • System experience: CAD, Blue Beam
  • Solid ability to read and understand structural designs and drawings
  • Familiarity with projects from bidding, award through close-out.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Compensation: $80,000 + DOE
  • Onsite - with travel between local job sites
