This candidate will play a critical role in enhancing and developing Finance’s reporting packages for an organization that multi-entity accounting. This team member must have accounting experience/ background to provide actionable financial and strategic business analytics and recommendations to management. They will be responsible for developing and presenting monthly financial reporting packages, business analytics, assistance in building the annual budget, monthly forecasting of risk and opportunities, metrics and scorecards, and various ad-hoc analyses. Requires a “can do” perspective and the ability to multi-task in a fluid environment of continuous improvement. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Monitor and analyze monthly financial results working as a team with accounting. Identify relevant trends and key drivers on variance. Advise senior leadership of opportunities and risk impacting the organization. Assist in the monthly review of all expenses and revenues for proper recording of transactions, as well as ensuring that corporate guidelines are met on Journal Entries throughout each reporting period. Develop yearly budget and monthly financial forecasts which will drive appropriate and timely decision making. Assist in the development of internal cost allocation methodologies and customer profitability models. Provide value-added analytical management reporting, including ad hoc requests, to help provide the organization with a deeper understanding of cost changes and help identify additional efficiency opportunities. Develop credibility and build partnerships with the accounting team and other key contacts across the organization to facilitate efficiency, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for process improvement. Manipulate large data sets to summarize for management reporting, determine results, or reveal trends. Ability to collect, clean, and interpret large data sets across multiple systems to provide insightful analysis. Identify process improvements to reduce process cycle times, improve financial forecast quality, and enhance information provided to leadership for business decisions. Support a company-wide finance transformation project that seeks to improve overall FP&A and Accounting planning and reporting processes by developing next-generation reporting capabilities, data visualization, and delivering process improvements. Required Skills & Abilities: GAAP accounting knowledge. Experience working in an organization that includes multiple entities. Expert in Excel and Financial Modeling. Proven experience working and supporting individual businesses with analysis and ad hoc requests. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. 2-5 years of relevant experience. Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing multiple work streams simultaneously. Strong grasp of income sheet, balance sheet, and cash flow financial statements interactions. Ability to analyze financial results and assess financial impacts of business decisions. Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills; must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
