The mission of GAC Tech is to continuously improve stable physical learning spaces and supporting capabilities. The Technology Operations Lead will be a leader and integral part of the Technology team at GAC.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assist/lead the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Long-Term: Serve as the Technical Lead for IT staff, providing guidance, training, keeping processes owned and defined.
  • Review and approve project plans, manage priorites, resources and monitor progress.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and manage IT security measures to protect the organizations data and systems.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations management.
  • Or, any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and IT service management best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualified experience supporting technology in an educational environment preferred,
  • Preferred certifications include ITIL Foundation or higher and/or CompTIA Network+ or Security+

Physical Requirements:
