Day in the life of a Loan Officer
- Build Customer Relationships: Develop strong connections with customers by actively listening to their financial needs, identifying latent requirements, and presenting effective solutions or alternatives.
- Sales Database Management: Maintain an organized sales database, create and execute ongoing prospecting plans and activities, and commit to achieving individual sales targets for loans and financial services.
- Product Promotion: Promote a comprehensive range of GreenStone products and services that align with customer requirements, including loans, insurance, tax services, and accounting records.
- Community Presence: Cultivate and sustain a prominent professional presence within the local community to enhance our reputation and customer engagement.
- Loan Processing: Assist clients in completing loan applications and ensure the timely collection of all necessary documentation for efficient credit decision-making. Quote rates and fees, and collaborate with support staff to facilitate the loan process post-credit approval.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial and credit data, enabling you to match customer needs with the most suitable mortgage or commercial loan program while assessing associated risks.
What Experience can you Bring?
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, agriculture, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in customer credit, financial services, agricultural industry, or a related field.
- Knowledge of loan products and services, credit operations and government lending regulations (including Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac) is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, analytical, and negotiating, influencing, and consultative selling skills.
- Registration in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) will be required.
