MarginEdge is seeking a Technical Product Manager to support our growing investment in artificial intelligence and automation of invoice processing. The TPM will own and continue to expand the existing software framework we have built out for automating the processing of invoices and the classification of restaurant purchasing data. This role will work closely with the leaders of Engineering and Data Science as part of the larger Product Management team reporting to our Director of Technical Product Management. Our offering is a SaaS product delivered through a web interface and mobile application. We serve owners and operators of independent restaurants to streamline their operations, save time and money, and allow them to focus on food and hospitality (and not paperwork).We process over 400k invoices a month and are on track to double that in the next year.Our goal is that a customer can take a picture of an invoice and see it reflected on their financial reports in minutes. As a Technical Product Manager, you will spend your day working with restaurant owners, external partners, internal stakeholders, and developers to maximize business impact and customer value through the integrations that we develop and support. You will own a roadmap for our invoice processing system, blending customer insights, and company strategy to meet our business objectives. You’ll represent MarginEdge in discussions with external partners and have the technical background to identify new opportunities for integration, evaluate technical API specifications and data formats, creatively solve problems, and ensure that the development process runs smoothly. Responsibilities Evaluate new approaches to automating invoice processing that the data science team has conducted research on and help prioritize and design the best approaches in our software. Coordinate and communicate with external partners throughout the development process. Develop a set of requirements for each new technique, translating technical specifications and discussions with data science team members into actionable solutions.Represent the voice-of-customer in all conversations when evaluating priority and implementation. Build and maintain a schedule for each project. Partner with the go-to-market team to roll out new features that drive desired outcomes. Gather feedback on adoption and monitor usage metrics. Own the invoice processing automation team roadmap. Build consensus on the most important efforts to proceed with from a business and technical perspective. Be a key contributor to product prioritization discussions. Base recommendations on company goals, user problems, user data, and product knowledge. Serve as the product expert for invoice processing automation. Triage new issues and feature requests and product questions from all sources. Be an active participant in the SDLC and contribute to high-quality delivery. Work with developers to refine requirements, optimizing customer value with feasibility. Qualifications 2-5 years in technical product management or a related business or technical role (business analyst, product owner, software engineer). Familiar with various application integration methods, common technologies, and data formats.Able to assess the high-level technical feasibility of a new AI model and ensure adherence to best practices from functional, performance, scalability, and security perspectives. Experience establishing prioritization across competing priorities, optimizing for business outcomes. Knowledge of product analytic tools and experience investigating individual product problems as well as broad product usage Demonstrated ability to have user empathy and focus on problem-solving from their perspectives Experience leading and launching large projects across multiple months/quarters with a high level of autonomy Stellar collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority
