We are protective of our employees' personal time and make sure they have the resources they need to care for themselves and their families.We offer:Paid Time OffSick DaysPaid Holidays401k match + PensionFull Medical, Dental & Vision + HSAMental health care coverageLife InsuranceLocal Volunteer OpportunitiesWhat You Have:8 or more years Information Technology work experience & experience in Network EngineeringTeam-oriented, strong communicatorExcellent customer-facing interactionCertification or equivalent work experience or ability to get certification within 1 year: CompTIA Security + (or equivalent)CompTIA Network+ (or equivalent)VMWare VCDX-NVCCNP (or equivalent)AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Network SpecialistAWS, Azure or Google Cloud ArchitectCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferredExpert knowledge and hands-on experience troubleshooting, designing and implementing virtual networks in VMware or Hyper-VExpert troubleshooting experience and ability to teach proper troubleshooting process and procedures (in relation to the OSI model)Expert knowledge of WAN Technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN/SD-Branch, BGP)Expert Knowledge of LAN Technologies (OSPF, IS-IS, RIP, EIGRP)Expert Knowledge of Switch technology (VLAN, Port Security, Port Aggregation, STP, VTP)Expert Knowledge of VOIP technology and QoS settingExpert Knowledge of TCP/IP protocolsExpert Knowledge of Next-Generation Firewalls (ex: Sophos, Fortinet, SonicWall, Meraki, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Juniper SRX)Expert Knowledge of Wireless Networks (access points, cloud key, controllers)Expert Knowledge of VPN technology (Site-to-site and Remote Access)Expert knowledge of Azure or AWS virtual networking environmentsExpert knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLAN, and VPN network technologiesExpert Knowledge of DNS, DHCP (both IPv4 and IPv6) and NATExpert knowledge of WiresharkExpert knowledge of Network Security best practicesExpert knowledge of end-point security applications (anti-virus solutions)Expert knowledge of security applications (SIEM, IDS, IPS, EDR)Expert knowledge of designing, reading, and documenting Network DiagramsBeginner knowledge of SNMP management tools a plusBeginner knowledge of Python scripting language a plusValid Driver's License and reliable means of transportationWhat You'll Do:Maintain essential customer managed IT network operations, including firewalls, routers, switches, access points, virtual private networks, LANs and WANs and network/ end point security tools.Troubleshoot, design, and deploy simple and/or complex networks to suit customer needsTroubleshoot, design, configure network hardware to ensure optimal performance and usabilityTroubleshoot, design, configure and install Next-Generation Firewalls to meet user security needsTroubleshoot, configure and install SIEM security software on customer networksTroubleshoot, configure and install end point security software on customer networksDocument settings, configurations, design and changes in Network Diagrams for clientsTroubleshoot, design, configure and install virtual networks in VMware or Hyper-V hypervisorsTroubleshoot, design, configure, update and/or modify Azure or AWS network configurationsTroubleshoot advanced TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS protocol issues; coach lower level engineer in the proper process and procedure to quickly resolve common or uncommon issuesUse Wireshark and other troubleshooting tools to diagnose and correct complex network issuesInteract with other engineers and help desk support technicians to troubleshoot, identify root cause, and provide technical support for our customers; keeping communication lines open and effectiveManage large sized projects without assistance; serve as subject matter expertAct as a Tier 3 escalation point for the resolution of complex issues and incidents that exceed Tier 2 skills or require higher level attentionProvide on-call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team membersRespond to incidents or service requests via phone, chat, E-mail or ticketing system.Use expeditious resolution strategies to improve customer service, perception, and satisfactionExercise sound judgement and creativity to prioritize outstanding support requests or incidentsFollow incidents through to resolution and ensure timely incident response and documentationJob Type: Full-time, On-site (not remote or hybrid) Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00 PM With opportunities to volunteer for on-call rotation Visit our website: lesolson.comJob Posted by ApplicantPro#J-18808-Ljbffr
