**Description**

**Summary of Position**

This is a temporary position.

The position located in the Allstream Portland warehouse facility will be responsible for the shipping and receiving of equipment and materials, basic configuration of equipment (scripting) and overall organization of the warehouse. The successful candidate will be required to ensure accurate recording, tracking, and transferring of inventory both physically and through the companys information tools and will maintain overall warehouse organization and cleanliness.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Responsible for the management of all physical inventory for the warehouse. Organizes the receiving, storage, shipping and labeling of all equipment so that warehouse operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

- Responsible for loading basic configurations (script loading) to a variety of equipment.

- Responsible for packaging/preparation of shipments.

- Works closely with Field Operations and Service Delivery personnel to make sure equipment is available on time for installation and/or repair activity.

- Responsible for the accuracy of inventory records in the Warehouse. Tracks equipment, deliveries and reports any issues or variances to Manager

- Works with Manager to ensure supply parts levels are monitored and maintained and reflect the needs of the current customer base.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**

- Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner.

- Demonstrable knowledge of inventory and warehousing procedures.

- Demonstrable knowledge of Office Administration Software, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.

- Demonstrable knowledge of basic PC operation (including but not limited to changing IP addresses)

- Demonstrable communication skills; Verbal and written.

- Ability to communicate with co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.

- Proven ability to deal with multiple time demands, conflicting priorities, customer escalations

- Self starter must be able to work independently

**(The following are physical requirements of the position as required by the Americans With Disabilities Act)**

Requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking and hearing and frequent kneeling, walking on uneven surfaces, repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, keyboarding and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds, frequent lifting of 11-20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 21-50 or more pounds. Also requires constant pushing and pulling of 1-50 pounds and infrequent pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices. Must be able to perform primarily medium work. Must be able to perform close detail work, operate mobile equipment. Must possess good visual and color acuity.

Allstream policy requires any employee working in an Allstream facility is fully vaccinated against COVID-19

**Education and Experience:**

High school diploma or equivalent.

3- 5 years of experience working in a Warehouse (Telecom or Computer related Industry preferred)

1-2 years Inventory Management experience would be beneficial
