Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop an incoming quality system to monitor the quality of products to specified standards on their arrival. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured process audit plans. Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate team audit activities. Investigate the causes of non-conforming products and perform root cause analysis to work with operations to implement solutions. Collaborating with the relevant departments to develop and implement controls and improvements and develop supplier quality standards. Track quality assurance metrics. Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvement action plans.

Supervisory Responsibilities -

This position will directly supervise the Quality Assurance specialists and technicians.

Education and Experience: At least 5 years of experience in quality management in a distribution or manufacturing environment is required. Bachelor’s degree required in Quality Management, or a related field is preferred. Master’s degree a plus. Relevant certification e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is preferred. Strong knowledge of quality methodologies, tools, and processes is required. Prior experience in managing a quality assurance team. Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required: Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule; including early mornings and late nights as required. Partner and establish strong working relationships with other departments that provide support to the overall operation. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive process audits.
