Radiation Physicist Shift Type: 1st Shift, Days, 5x8 Employment Type: Full Time Competitive Pay / Great Opportunities for Growth / Potential Sign-On and Relocation Assistance MLee Healthcare is seeking a qualified Radiation Physicist to join a team of dedicated professionals. The Radiation Physicist is tasked with overseeing all quality assurance procedures in radiation therapy to guarantee the precise and safe administration of treatments while adhering to local, state, and federal regulations. This role involves regular monitoring, testing, and calibration of radiotherapy equipment and planning systems. The Radiation Physicist is also responsible for reviewing and calculating treatment plans for external beam therapy, brachytherapy, and other treatment modalities. Additionally, the Radiation Physicist must maintain the appropriate credentials to manage and handle potentially hazardous radioactive materials safely. Key Responsibilities for a Radiation Physicist: Perform and oversee radiation therapy treatment planning using advanced software and techniques. Conduct quality assurance tests on radiation equipment and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate closely with Radiation Oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and optimize treatment plans. Provide training and support to staff on radiation safety protocols and procedures. Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental projects as assigned. Radiation Physicist Job Qualifications: Master's or Doctoral degree in Medical Physics, Radiation Physics, or a related field. Board certification or eligibility in Radiology Therapeutic Physics or Medical Physics required. 1 year of work experience in Radiation Oncology clinical procedures, including 3-D conformal planning, IMRT, machine QA, and calibration of radiation therapy/radiologic equipment. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Nice to have: Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP accredited program.
