Job Title: Practice Nurse We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team. Job Summary The Practice Nurse will be responsible for providing primary care to children from birth through age 18+. This includes conducting patient assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical advice and guidance to patients and families via phone and electronic correspondence Develop and implement patient education programs to promote preventive care and chronic disease management Administer injections and medications as prescribed by healthcare providers Assist with various procedures, minor surgeries, and exams as designated by healthcare providers Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for further testing Authorize prescription refills as instructed by healthcare providers Assist with test tracking and monitoring overdue results Remove sutures and change dressings on wounds as necessary Ensure exam rooms are adequately supplied and cleaned after each patient visit Collaborate with healthcare providers to review and revise care plans and assess patient progress Participate in daily huddles with healthcare providers to discuss patient care and share best practices Requirements Completion of a LPN or RN educational program Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), issued by the PA State Board of Nursing AHA CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire Preferred Qualifications One to two years of nursing experience in a primary or specialty care physician's office Prior triage, emergency room, cardiac care, intensive care, or other related specialty nursing experience Benefits Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: 100% tuition assistance at The Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences Paid time off and paid holidays Shift, weekend, and on-call differentials Health, dental, and vision coverage Short-term and long-term disability Retirement savings account with company matching Child care subsidies Onsite gym and fitness classes We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
