Role Summary:

Will support the Division's financial forecasting and budgeting process, monthly operating plan variance analysis and special projects. This function acts as the analytical engine of the Division to provide insights and support business decision making.

Essential Functions of the Role:

Lead all Financial Planning and Accounting functions for the CDC Division.

Finance and Planning

  • Develop and execute the forecasting and planning processes to meet the demands of a fast-paced business and the need for accurate and timely financial data. Including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reporting packages.
  • Develop and enhance metrics to allow the company to take simpler but more effective informed views of its financial and operational profile.
  • Direct the Division consolidation of annual budgeting, ongoing forecasting exercises across regions with objective to drive efficiencies and improvements in process and quality of information.
  • Conduct and drive ad hoc analysis in support of strategic discussions and decisions, process improvement initiatives and other special projects as needed for scenario modeling, cash flow analysis, etc.
  • Directs and manages the performance of the financial planning and analysis in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Calculate and report KPIs.

Accounting

  • Prepare financial records, including but not limited to: the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes; preparation and/or review of variety of journal entries, performance of account reconciliations and analyses; report writing.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Prepare monthly budget vs actual reports and perform variance analysis
  • Assist in the financial statement close process and limited customer invoicing

Leadership

  • Establish strong strategic business partner relationships with management in all business functional areas.
  • Work closely with our customers Finance Leadership team to deliver superior service and meet contractual financial obligations

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead process improvement opportunities utilizing the LEAN Management system
  • Drive Customer and Employee Success by seeking opportunities for improvement.
  • Champion Change throughout the organization
  • Use the Spirit of EA Sween to guide decisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 4-7 years of experience in accounting, finance, financial planning and analysis, and financial modeling exercising responsibilities involving the financial planning and analysis functions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills specifically to work cross-functionally with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine strategic and detailed perspectives.
  • Experience thriving in matrixed culture.
  • Understand and interpret complex issues and recommend actions resulting in improved business performance.
  • Possess strong problem identification, resolution abilities, exhibit professional judgement and sound decision-making skills.
  • Experience driving cross-functional collaboration with a strong emphasis on customer focus and building high performing teams.
  • Strong Excel skills in data compilation, aggregation, and proficiency with Excel formulas.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Generally, an office/desk position using a computer and telephone
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
  • Must be able to work occasional extra hours
  • Must be able to work on/direct multiple projects at one time without direct supervision and be able to meet deadlines and confidential information and interruptions in the work process
  • Must be able to work well with various levels of employees, cross-functional team members and diverse cultures
