The Medical Patient Services Supervisor is responsible for leading the Medical Patient Service Representatives team in the day-to-day clinic functions. This position is responsible for ensuring patient flow functions run smoothly with an emphasis on 'team-based' care and focuses on the development, revision and implementation of policies and procedures.

Medical Patient Services Supervisor
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the medical front office across all CDIH facilities.
  • Direct Lead Medical Patient Service Representatives to ensure proper staff coverage and required breaks & lunches are provided.
  • Supervise and conduct onboarding/training of department personnel.
  • Oversee patient workflow and ensure calls are handled in a timely and professional manner, as needed.
  • Develop, implement and own the front office teams' policies and procedures to ensure standardization and efficiency between sites.
  • Understand, educate and train staff on maintaining appropriate boundaries with patients and referral triage of patients to appropriate clinical staff.
Experience and Skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with healthcare facility.
  • Minimum 2 years' of previous supervisory experience working with multiple departments.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with Medi-Cal insurance eligibility, including Medi-Cal, Medicare, workers' compensation, auto insurance and private insurance.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with an EHR, preferably EClinicalWorks or similar EHR
  • Current and in good standing Driver's License.
