TREASURY & REPORTING ANALYST - CARROLLTON, TX

OVERVIEW:

This role will have ownership and accountability for daily/weekly/monthly cash reporting and forecasting, facilitating the movement of funds to support the business and its ongoing liquidity needs, and preparing regular financial reporting packages for lenders, owners, management and others as required on a daily/monthly/quarterly/annual basis. It will partner with the Payroll and Benefits Specialist and other HR leadership to ensure that all financial transactions related to payroll are properly accounted for and ensure compliance with state and federal tax filings.

To be successful, you need a positive, hard-working attitude in a fast-paced environment and have strong interpersonal, analytical, and accounting skills. You need high attention to detail and are highly driven and self-motivated, willing to dive in and solve problems with little direction.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Support the Corporate Controller in preparing and maintaining daily/weekly/monthly cash reporting - including the 13-week cash forecast and all associated lender/equity partner reporting and compliance
  • Complete daily/weekly journal entry transactions for all banking related activity and movement of cash - ensuring accurate cash reporting
  • Oversee/review weekly payroll fundings and associated financial activity. Complete daily/weekly journal entries as necessary for all bank transactions related to payroll. Complete monthly period-end close accruals, account reconciliations, variance analysis and associated reporting
  • Assist with forecasting and annual operating plan development and analysis and work with department leaders and plant controllers as needed to review results and incorporate feedback into the cash forecast process
  • Assist with external audit requests and prepare schedules related to all cash and payroll
  • In partnership with the Corporate Controller, develop controls and monitor compliance around all aspects of corporate banking for the company (approval procedures, fraud controls, etc.)
  • After financial close is complete, prepare Financial Reporting, Managerial Reporting, monthly presentation slides, and financial analysis to meet regular reporting requirements of the company
  • Assist with the administration of Catalyst (current reporting tool) and transition of all financial reporting to Power BI platform
  • Other duties as required from time-to-time, to be determined
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Five to seven years of hands-on, progressive corporate accounting experience, with a demonstrated understanding of GAAP
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with all levels of the organization
  • Results oriented, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner
  • Advanced problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent task management and follow-up skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and other MS products
  • Demonstrated knowledge, proficiency, and comfort-level with ERP and BI solutions
  • Team focused with the ability to provide support and add value when the need arises while also contributing to a positive and productive work environment
