The work location for this exciting opportunity is hybrid. Candidates need to be in the DC area to come into Headquarters office, located at 430 17th St., NW, Washington DC, with regularity to support meetings and business needs.

About the job: The Administrative Business Analyst, DEI will provide administrative support (70% of time) and quantitative and qualitative analysis (30% of time) for DEI's leadership, operations, planning and development, and activities covering areas such as human resources, administration, budget management, business information systems, logistics and contracts. Will develop information on budget status, workforce level, equipment availability, and other business unit capabilities. May perform certain operational activities on behalf of DEI.

What you will be doing: Maintains calendar for Chief Diversity Officer to include meetings, appointments, travel, visits to field or operating units. Prepares agendas, materials, and presentations for routine meetings, and for high level meetings for which the Chief Diversity Officer is responsible, including the President's Office and Board of Governors. Responsible for oversight of DEI's budget to ensure the department remains fiscally responsible. This includes payment and reconciliation of invoices and tracking spend for individual teams and projects. Provide administrative support for the National Diversity Advisory Council to include preparation of agendas, presentations, travel logistics, and ongoing communications with Council members. Coordinates bi-annual workforce analytics reporting and monthly updates for executive leadership. Performs various research and analytical tasks on behalf of the Chief Diversity Officer regarding operational issues and initiatives. Administers and tracks projects and compiles results or findings from multiple departments reporting to the Chief Diversity Officer. Creates presentations supported with analytics using cutting edge technology to communicate the strategies and initiatives of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion. Uses appropriate professional judgment to keep the Chief Diversity Officer and leadership staff abreast of any changes, issues, or concerns that may impact daily activities, schedules, or on-going initiatives.

Scope: Individual contributor that works under limited supervision. Apply subject matter knowledge. Capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge.

What we need from you: Education - 4-year college degree or combination of education and experience. Experience - Minimum of 3 years related work experience. Preferred Experience - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion background a plus. Strong cultural competence and ability to work with diverse stakeholders and clients. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent at calendar management. Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation creation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and intermediate skill level use of Excel and advanced use of PowerPoint. Capable of prioritizing and completing tasks under tight deadlines and the flexibility to meet sudden and unpredictable business needs.

What's in it for you: The annual salary range for this position is a starting salary of $60K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Note that the American Red Cross sets salary ranges aligned to a specific geographic location in which the job or employee resides.
