Introduction:

Our client seeks a Systems Administrator for a long-term program supporting an IC customer in McLean, VA. This position requires an active TS/SCI full-scope polygraph clearance.

The Systems Administrator will maintain and enhance the performance of the Customer's network, software, and related standalone workstations and laptops. This includes regular maintenance, updating hardware and software, and exporting data from the system in a customer-accepted format. The position is part of a team of five and will require travel to Customer sites.

Role:
  1. Maintain and enhance the performance of the Customer's network, software, and related standalone workstations and laptops.
  2. Maintain network file servers with minimal disruption and downtime.
  3. Travel to Customer sites to perform preventative and regular maintenance.
  4. Support the development of new technologies to replace existing applications.
  5. Perform various engineering analyses, software, hardware, or network development.
  6. Remain compliant with evolving Customer security practices and accreditation requirements.
  7. Manage webpages and ensure the operability of the Customer's software in the latest Operating System possible.
  8. Analyze and design databases within a software area.
  9. Develop, maintain, and deploy tools to facilitate software installation and remote administration of Customer systems at remote sites.
  10. Provided customer support services, including problem identification, tracking, reporting, escalation, and resolution.
  11. Manage secure server practices, including access configuration and physical security.
  12. Create and maintain data backups and archival procedures.
  13. Provide information assurance support services to ensure consistency with INFOSEC policies and procedures.
  14. Keep inventory of property and all hardware related to the customer system.
  15. Mandatory Skills & Experience:
  16. Demonstrated experience managing systems utilizing Mac Open Directory.
  17. Demonstrated experience managing and deploying Mac OS 10+ and Windows-based workstations.
  18. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with SQL databases.
  19. I have demonstrated experience working with large user bases, responding to troubleshooting tickets, access control, and other end-user requests.
  20. I have demonstrated experience troubleshooting servers, stand-alone Apple and Windows-based workstation hardware, and application compatibility between Operating system manufacturers and across OS versions.
  21. Demonstrated experience managing license servers used by Adobe and Microsoft Office products across multi-user networks.
  22. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with systems integration.
Nice to Have:
  1. Demonstrated experience setting up and managing Windows Active Directory environments.
  2. Demonstrated experience managing and monitoring the performance of cloud applications.
