As a member of the Operations team, you take pride in applying data collection, processing and storage techniques to support the growth of the organization. You are the main contact for facilitating data access throughout the organization. You guarantee the proper functioning, efficiency and security of the databases, ensuring that the data is accessible and usable for analysis. If you enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues from various functions (marketing and sales, customer service, accounting and finance, engineering, quality, procurement, logistics, production, operations, human resources, IT) at all organizational levels to help them solve data management problems, this position is waiting for you. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE Assume the role of steward for the management and oversight of the organization’s data life cycle Assemble and integrate data from various sources Build and maintain pipelines for data processing Design data models and schemas to optimize data storage and retrieval (from the data lake to the data warehouse to the data mart) Identify and correct inconsistencies in the data to ensure its quality Perform regular tests on data systems to identify and resolve technical issues Develop and maintain business intelligence (BI) solutions using tools such as PowerBI, SSRS and other reporting tools Facilitate access to relevant data to improve the decision-making process Ensure that all activities comply with policies and regulations regarding data security and confidentiality (including compliance with Law 25) Work closely with business analysts and other stakeholders of the governance committee to understand and meet the needs of the organization Compose comprehensive documentation relating to data processes and systems Assume the role of company resource in the field of data management Keep abreast of best practices, tools and technologies in data engineering ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND

QUALIFICATIONS

TO BE SUCCESSFUL Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology (IT), engineering or university degree in a relevant field Master’s degree in a related field is considered an asset 2 years of experience in the field of data Good knowledge of SQL and Python programming languages Experience with setting up ETL processes or data warehouses Good knowledge of PowerBI considered an asset Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS considered an asset) Comfortable with infrastructure as code (IaC) Terraform is considered an asset Experience with CRM and ERP type systems is considered an asset Quick learner with a mindset for continuous improvement and solution oriented Excellent communication skills in English and French, both oral and written Motivated, driven, with the ability to collaborate efficiently within a team, often cross-functional Sense of innovation, initiative, creativity, organization and precision Good knowledge of best practices in data engineering ABOUT US Laurentide’s purpose is To Help Industry Thrive in Eastern Canada.
