Overview:

Proactively and holistically leads and supports Enterprise Architecture activities that strategically guide business and operating models, people, processes, and technology. Works closely with strategy and business leaders to create deliverables that support organizational change and investments towards achieving targeted business outcomes. The business architect facilitates discussion around the construction of business models, which may include technology, business capabilities, value-streams and processes and other key business architecture deliverables. Also, helps strategy and business leaders understand, apply, monetize, and operationalize existing, new, and emerging technologies to transform and optimize business and operating models.

Responsibilities:

1. As both a Business Architect and manager, responsible for aligning strategic goals with business operating models and leading the strategic planning function including 1) Project Scoping, 2) Financial/Program Analysis, 3) Organizational Planning, 4) Organizational Budgeting, 5) Business Analysis
2. Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities.
3. Monitor annual budgets for assigned area of responsibility to maximize profitability.
4. Works with Director of Strategy to define and manage proper communication of request status and escalation of barriers to the stakeholder and business.
5. Align department objectives with the strategic goals of the organization. Develop internal communications strategy that supports business and brand strategy and manage proactive and reactive internal communication efforts.
6. Establish disciplines and standards for services across the organization, working collaboratively with internal and external SMEs to ensure current, aligned solutions. Communicate, train and report on use of standard operating procedures across all departments, to include: 1) process and tools to be used; 2) develop the project management methodology to be employed; 3) staff support and training for team members 4) coordinate all activities and resources assigned to projects
7. Work with business units across the organization to ensure Business Analysis procedures are executed as designed and measured accurately and completely
8. Removes barriers for subordinates by suggesting solutions to both personnel and process opportunities that arise in projects.
9. Engages key business stakeholders to identify business and technology-enabled innovation opportunities that enable and drive business strategy. Focuses on growing revenue, optimizes costs, and mitigates risks.
10. Partner and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate goals and objectives into strategic roadmaps
11. Determines the impact of change and translates priorities into actionable initiatives, clearly defined investments and KPIs
12. Creates a foundation for execution with next-gen operating models to reduce costs and respond quickly to business challenges

Qualifications:

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)


Education
Bachelors degree in engineering, technical, management, or business related field is required.
MBA or an advanced degree preferred.

Experience
Minimum 10 years experience in designing technical business infrastructure plans, enterprise capacity planning analysis, and implementing process configurations required
Minimum 6 years experience in a leadership role, including demonstrated success with multi-person or cross functional team leadership required
Knowledge of project management tools and techniques and leading cross functional teams required

Licenses/Certifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred
