This position ensures the team discusses how well the process is working to produce the highest business value in the shortest amount of time while always seeking to continuously improve. Responsible for helping the team identify impediments to progress to the greatest extent possible, takes responsibility for ensuring impediments are resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Responsibilities in service to the Business:
•Ensure that the vision of the business - including goals, scope, and the context of the product are understood by everyone on the team
•Educate the scrum team(s) about why it's important that product backlog items are clear and concise
•Collaborate with the Solutions Manager to manage and maintain a lean backlog while experimenting with new ideas for managing it effectively
•Provide guidance to the Solutions Manager and development team to understand the estimating and release planning process utilizing user stories, story point estimates, and velocity.
•Facilitates scrum ceremonies
Responsibilities in service to the development team:
•Provide guidance to the development team to understand Agile/Scrum framework and ensure they are working within the NetJets Agile/Scrum defined process
•Teach/coach the team on how to become self-organized and cross-functional
•Ensure effective communication between the Solutions Manager and the development team
•Remove impediments
•Protect the development team from outside distractions
Responsibilities in service to the organization:
•Help the organization in its Agile/Scrum adoption
•Support Agile implementations within the organization
•Help those outside of the team understand Agile/Scrum and how it benefits the business
•Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of Agile throughout the organization
•Help those outside of IT understand which interactions with the team are helpful and those that impact progress being made and help change these behaviors to maximize value produced by the Scrum team
