Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant with a strong background in technical accounting to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a CPA or CPA-eligible candidate with a passion for accuracy and a desire to contribute to the financial success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of complex accounting transactions, ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant industry standards.
  • Conduct in-depth technical accounting research to resolve complex accounting issues and identify the most appropriate treatment for new or unique transactions.
  • Prepare and review complex accounting entries, including those related to revenue recognition, lease accounting, intangible assets, and financial instruments.
  • Participate in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and ensure their accurate application across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff on technical accounting matters.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports to support financial statement preparation and management decision-making.
  • Assist with the external audit process by providing necessary documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and coordinating with the audit team.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest accounting standards and industry best practices.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of internal accounting processes and controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA license (preferred) or CPA-eligible candidate.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical accounting role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying complex accounting principles to a variety of transactions.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and relevant industry standards.
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
