Structural Design Engineer

  • Design and analyze structural components and systems using engineering software and tools.
  • Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and evaluations to assess structural conditions and feasibility.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Perform professional structural engineering work and lead Bridge design tasks as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Preparation of contract drawings and specifications, design calculations, complex structural analysis, load rating analysis and evaluation of existing structures for repairs/ retrofits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • EIT required and Professional Engineer license preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in structural design and analysis.
  • Load Rating analysis experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and industry standards.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Hands on experience with structural analysis software and CADD (AutoCAD/ MicroStation)
  • Proficiency with pertinent New England Agency standards, specifications, and procedures.
