Safety Manager
The Safety Manager at Fairchild Freight plays a crucial role in upholding the safety and regulatory compliance standards within our transportation operations. This position requires a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of FMCSA and DOT regulations and adept organizational skills to manage compliance efforts and mitigate potential risks effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation compliance, showcasing a robust grasp of industry regulations and standards.
- Extensive knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, particularly driver qualification, service hours, and safety protocols.
- Possess a deadline-driven mentality with exceptional organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English. The ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus.
- Prior experience with fleet management and tracking software systems, such as LME and Samsara.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with advanced computer skills (including typing) to manage data and communication effectively.
- Ability to make independent decisions within the job parameters, demonstrating initiative and critical thinking capabilities.
- A self-starter mindset, capable of taking proactive measures and working autonomously to accomplish tasks and address compliance-related issues.
