Maintenance Technician Position The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a Maintenance Technician position at our Aberdeen, MD facility. This facility uses automated packaging equipment and utilities to manufacture and distribute Clorox Liquid Bleach products. The primary function of this position is to support the production and facility operations in the areas of preventative, corrective and project/special maintenance. An individual assigned to this role is to provide system maintenance support to the production operation. Hourly rate: $37.17 with opportunities to advance through a skill-based pay system. Rotational shifts: (1st, 2nd, 3rd) Candidate may need to be available on a rotational shift our hours include 1st shift: (7am 3:30pm) 2nd shift: (3pm 11:30pm), 3rd shift: (11pm 7:30am). Flexibility with overtime on a business needs arise. Our Total Rewards Package Includes: Skill-based pay system Quarterly and annual bonuses Medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement 401(k): 4% match & annual 6% contribution 12 paid holidays 2 weeks' vacation Sick time Wellness & fitness subsidy Clothing/shoe allowance Climate controlled environment Product giveaways Plant events & celebrations Employee discounts Safe working environment Learning & development opportunities Tuition reimbursement In this role, you will: Perform troubleshooting and programming of PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers) Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and configure the following communications networks and protocols: DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, Data Highway Plus DH/485 Remote I/O Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and configure the following AC/DC drives: Allen Bradley PowerFlex series Allen Bradley DC drives Demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of processing instrumentation equipment. Candidate must possess skills to calibrate and troubleshoot the following: Mass flow meters, DP transmitters, level probes, modulation valves Perform preventative maintenance activities on production equipment Basic troubleshooting and repairing of all production and process equipment. Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical Generate work orders and research parts Basic shop fabrication - welding/machining and basic hand tools Rebuild spare equipment P.M.'s and work orders Help support production lines as needed Special projects Capital projects New products Improvement projects What we look for: Educational/Experiential Requirements: Industrial maintenance experience with fillers, cappers, labelers, conveyors, case packers, palletizers, blow molders, and/or other automated packaging equipment are not required but are considered highly desirable. Ideal candidates will have hands-on work experience with all or some of the following: hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rigging equipment, various man-lifts, machine shop equipment (mills, lathes, band saws, presses, etc.). OR successful completion of a two (2) year college curriculum in technical areas OR vocational school certificates of completion of training in mechanical/electrical technical areas. Other vendor courses in machining, welding, or air conditioning refrigeration is highly desirable and may be considered as experience. Required skills and abilities: 5-10+ years of prior work experience in similar role or manufacturing industries Support of WCO principles, programs, and objectives Hands-on work experience with all or some of the following: hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rigging equipment, various man-lifts, machine shop equipment (mills, lathes, band saws, presses, etc). Other vendor courses in machining, wide exposure to various technical areas during past work experiences will be evaluated on an individual basis. Experience, education, and/or skills related to troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, automation devices/sensors, robotics, communication networks, and AC/DC drives are not required but are considered highly desirable.
