Job Description Salary: $25 per hour Salaried Non-Exempt
Summary/Objective:

Promotes the company mission statement while being

responsible for direct hands-on work of a crew(s) and/or Trade Partners to produce units of construction which are assigned on a project by a superintendent or project manager. Ensure crew always operates within Harpers safety and quality standards. Plan and assign work; track and account for labor hours and productivity; supervise activities of a construction crew/s and/or Trade Partners.

Essential Functions:

Ensure Harper safety requirements are explained, implemented, and demonstrated.
Develop and implement working relationship with Safety Manager.

Project specific safety pre-planning.
Coordinate with Safety Manager to develop a project-site specific SOAR Orientation Document.
Soar Implementation if allowing other Harper staff to conduct orientations ensure proper message and execution of the document.
OSHA standards are understood and followed based on the actions of workers on the job.
Performing weekly Toolbox Talks with all active trades.
Conduct Safety Stand down Training as necessary.
Participates in the timely and effective investigations of all incidents including injuries, property damage, behavioral issues and near misses.
Conduct weekly site safety inspections in Procore.

Assist the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to create Schedules as well as determining sequencing of work.
Understand project QAQC

QA example:

Pre-installation meetings.

QC Example:

Visual and documents inspections of work in place.

Learning to oversee the coordination of all Trade Partners.

Project site specific logistics/use including associated rules.
Scheduling of each trade. (who goes where and when to start)
Developing and implementing recovery strategies to maintain project schedule.
Clarity of design versus installation. (RFIs)
Schedule for the trades. (durations and commitments of durations)

Crosstrain with Field Engineers and field staff to ensure staff development.

This includes multiple Trade Partner personnel.

Ability to manage timesheets for field staff.
Ability to manage and completing all daily reports.
Manage all jobsite equipment.
Recognize and understand the importance of compliance of local building codes.
Recognize and understand the importance of compliance of all ADA code requirements.
Participate and recognize the importance of all required inspections for the project.
Ensure by documenting and executing a proper Harper punch list prior to inviting Owner and Design Team punch list.

Fill-In Daily Log but not responsible.
Navigate and understand how to utilize directory.
Utilize and understand all functions of the drawings tab.

Create and maintain the punchlist.
Create an RFI for review by Superintendent and seek RFI information where applicable.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Work Environment:

This role may require walking over varied terrain, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting.

Lifting requirements vary from minimal loads to heavy; but help is always available with heavier loads.

Physical Demands:
The Field Engineer is required to work in a variety of conditions relative to construction jobsite environments and must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Associate degree with minimum 2 years field

Proven track record of a strong safety culture on the jobsite is a leader in
