Mortgage Processor Bilingual

We are currently recruiting for a Mortgage Processor to join a Mortgage Lending team in Stamford, CT (fulltime in-office). Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a MUST for this role. The Mortgage Processor will partner with a high volume experienced Loan Officer. Candidates must have mortgage industry experience, working knowledge and understanding of loan applications, credit report, asset statements (including sourcing large deposits and EMD's), income docs (including paystubs, W-2's, tax returns), appraisals, title work, etc...and the ability to identify possible deficiencies in file, including possible fraud/risk and ask appropriate questions, obtain clarifications and/or updated documents. This is a fulltime permanent position offering 55K - 60K Base + Per File Bonus + Benefits Package.

Responsibilities:

• Review all documents supplied by borrower(s)
• Confirm data in LOS matches supplied documents: Income, Asset balances and details of transaction
• Review and confirm that all documents are legible and acceptable to submit to underwriting
• Order third party supporting documents to process the file: Appraisals, Tax transcripts, Condo documents, SSN verifications
• Organize and prepare loan for submission to underwriting through lender portals
• Review approvals with borrowers, attorneys, realtors, and title companies
• Ensure application meets all deadlines: Mortgage contingencies, Closing dates
• Manage rate locks to ensure loans close on time
• Manage document expiration dates to ensure files are always up to date
• Meet turn-times established by management on all files
• Keep all files up to date in LOS
• Keep Loan officer updated on all loans
• Coordinate closings with bank closer, attorneys/settlement agents and borrowers
