Currently we are looking for one senior civil engineer and degreed civil/structural engineers: Responsibilities Develop and oversee detailed designs for civil engineering projects, including stormwater management systems, drainage, grading, 2D Mesh Modeling and utilities. Develop accurate and efficient designs utilizing advanced software tools such as Civil 3D and ensure that all designs comply with local zoning laws; comply with regulations by NYCDEP, NYSDEP and others; and obtain necessary permits as needed. Prepare and submit SWPPP and SEQRA reports. Manage the design for infrastructure projects from the preliminary through final design phase including design reports, cost estimates, specifications, and contract plans. Coordinate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards. Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members. Participate in project meetings with clients and the project team. Other general duties include: Identify problems and provide solutions; accurately estimate the time required for assigned tasks; file management, both electronic and paper; prepare complete and concise design and construction drawings including checking and coordinating details and dimensions; ongoing review and checking of the documents for accuracy and completeness; adhere to all applicable standards and procedures; and advise the Project Manager of any potential additional services, before proceeding to work on them. Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a degree in civil engineering, seven (7) years of relevant experience, and a NY State Professional Engineering License.
