Regional Direct Sales Manager (Central)
Fully Remote Chicago Sales Job Type Full-time Description
**About this role:**
SimSpace needs direct sales managers that will spearhead the growth of our business in a variety of regulated vertical markets such as financial services, healthcare payors, media and entertainment, pharma, telecom/content delivery networks, and energy. You will lead the recruitment of these customers, and work with internal resources to plan engagements around SimSpace products and services.

**What You Will Do:**
* Identify and prioritize potential customers in one or more of the vertical markets above that have significant security concerns and are large enough and have comprehensive enough security organizations (generally over 100 cybersecurity personnel) to utilize our products and services.
* With Sales Engineering, communicate SimSpaces value to our customers to convince prospects why our offerings make sense for them.
* Work with sales management and other internal resources (Professional Services, Products, Sales Engineering) to define the specific engagement for the prospect.
* Successfully drive negotiations and contracting with the prospect to end up with a signed agreement and Statement of Work as needed.
* Drive contract renewal activities with customers as their agreements expire.

Requirements
* 10-15+ years of experience in direct or channel sales in one or more of the above vertical market sectors.
* Experience working on enterprise security products within Cloud, SaaS, and on-premises for enterprise companies.
* Experience creating resale agreements and/or contracts.
* Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
* Ability to clearly define success and ability to drive to get things done
* Ability to describe complex topics in a clear, concise manner
* A strong sense of pride in creating product team outputs
* Ability to be a highly motivated self-starter that is accepting of other perspectives and operates effectively in a team
* Curiosity about new technology and a strong desire to learn
* Preferred locations include New York City area, Charlotte NC, Chicago IL, Dallas TX, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
