Description
Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA is seeking an experienced energetic Barista/Cashier to join our team at our exciting new Bakehouse location. I'm sure you are asking yourself what is a barista? Well, we are glad you asked. A Barista is someone who makes and/or serves coffee and coffee-based beverages. The ideal person for this role is someone that is familiar with providing excellent customer service early in the morning and weekends at our Bakehouse/Coffee location housed on the Augusta Campus. The Barista/cashier will be one of the smiling faces on the Bakehouse team.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Greeting customers in a friendly manner
- Preparing and serving beverages such as coffee, tea simple to elaborate,
- Preparing and serving food items, promoting menu selections
- Answering customer questions
- Keeping the work environment organized and sanitary
- Working to attract new customers with their knowledge of fresh baker items
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Persons working in the caf must be able to work with other staff members, lead workers and supervisors on the team.
- Basic Math Skills
- Ability to push/lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand for at least 6 hours per day
- Able to work a flexible work schedule to include Saturdays
