Foster Care Licensing SpecialistDo you want a meaningful career advocating for Hope, Homes & Healing for children in foster care? 4KIDS is looking for a Licensing Specialist who performs all initial licensing of prospective foster families. The position will provide support and follow through the licensing process of prospective foster families.Job Specifications:Assist, support and communicate with foster families throughout the foster parent training and licensing processAssist and train foster parents in appropriate documentation according to Florida StatutesMaintain constant and consistent contact with prospective foster familiesParticipate in foster parent recruitment efforts when neededCompile and follow through the completion of the licensing documentation packages required by law and submit packages to the Licensing Supervisor and then to the DCF/Community Based Care Agency's Licensing UnitSchedule and conduct health inspections for prospective foster familiesComplete home studies and submit appropriate documentationContinue ongoing support for families through the licensing process facilitating a positive working relationship between the family and the agencyResearch changes in legislation and/or other requirements concerning training and licensing of foster familiesAssist in orientation and training of foster parents as neededAssist with and participate in foster parent support activities such as monthly support groups and quarterly foster family special eventsJob Requirements:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree in social work or related area of studyCompletion of Child Welfare certificationMinimum of one year experience working with children in crisis; DCF experience preferred in Foster Care and/or Protective SupervisionMust demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written skills.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office ProgramsProblem Solving SkillsInterpersonal SkillsCustomer service skillsMust have reliable transportation that can be used for work purposesMust have and maintain a valid Florida driver's licenseWhy work at 4KIDS?Certified Best Christian Workplace for 7 years in a rowExcellent benefit package (medical/dental/life/disability insurance provide)Great staff cultureAmazing workplace environmentfulfilling career providing Hope, Homes & Healing for children in crisis#J-18808-Ljbffr
