Job Purpose

The main purpose of the Human Resources Generalist is to provide support to the company's branch and manufacturing operations as it relates to all phases of employee relations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the completion and proper documentation of all activities associated with new hire orientation for the company's branch and manufacturing operations. This includes personally conducting new hire orientations at the branch and manufacturing locations, coordinating drug screens, explaining company culture and policies, and ensuring all new hire paperwork is properly completed.
  • Ensures all personnel documents (insurance, employee relations, etc.) are properly routed and maintained for reference in employee files.
  • Assists with the timely and proper completion of applicable auto accident and injury reports for branch and manufacturing locations.
  • Responsible for navigating through HR Payroll system to reference employee information.
  • Provide excellent customer service and serve as a main point of contact to all branch and manufacturing employees by answering general employee questions and inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, PTO, policies, etc.
  • Assists with completing employment verifications.
  • Assists with proper coding of invoices for HR purposes.
  • Lead the branch and manufacturing locations' chapter of the culture team. Actively participate in the creation, organization and implementation of culture team activities as well as nominate new members as the opportunity to do so presents itself.
  • Work with the Director of Talent Development and HR Communications Specialist to participate in career fair opportunities and develop viable recruiting networks as it pertains to the position being sourced.
  • Participate in continuing education activities as it relates to personal and professional growth and development.
Qualifications & Required Skills
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of progressive human resources experience, manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-location organization
  • Knowledge of local and federal laws (EEOC, ADA, FMLA, Worker's Comp, etc.)
  • DOT knowledge
  • Strong computers skills, including HRIS and time and attendance experience.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Payroll and timekeeping experience a plus
  • Word, Excel and industry related applications as required.
  • Must be a self -starter and self -managed individual.
  • Ability to provide outstanding employee customer service.
  • Must be willing to participate and speak publicly.
  • Promote a professional image with a high degree of personal integrity.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of documents and data.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus.
