Summary

:

Responsible for planning, developing, and implementation of all of the Nissin Foods’ internal and external communications strategy. The strategy would include external communication regarding industry, corporate and public relations. Topics would include, but not be limited to, sustainability, standard of identity, innovation, company updates, and industry issues. Internal communications would include, but not be limited to employee websites, newsletters, business updates, etc.

Responsible for the development, integration and implementation of a broad range of sales promotions, building strong vehicle with the Sales and Marketing departments to align the objectives with sales goals of Nissin Foods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability - with or without reasonable accommodation - to perform the following duties but not limited to:

Internal Communications Develop and execute an internal communications that promotes the overall mission and strategic priorities of Nissin Foods and improve employee engagement. Utilize internal communications vehicles, including company-wide emails, newsletters, employee educational materials, and videos inform and educate employees. Work closely with the Human Resources and other departments across Nissin Foods’ to provide communications support and advance the organization's strategic objectives. This would include assisting in the execution of employee training, education and advancement. External Communications

Develop, implement, and maintain environmental strategies and programs for Nissin Foods. Work with the Manufacturing, Purchasing, Research and Development and General Affairs departments to set sustainability standards and goals. Develop and implement appropriate training programs to enhance sustainability and ensure compliance and drive awareness of the company’s sustainability agenda. Collaborates with Marketing to develop and implement website, social media/online, 1-to-1 strategies (email, direct mail) to ensure effectiveness and brand integrity. Manage agencies to ensure that the corporate message is communicated to the appropriate stakeholders. This would include industry and community leaders as well as consumers. Manage the communication of the introduction of the ECO Cup with appropriate media partners to ensure its successful launch. Utilize external public relations to promote the Nissin family of brands, its new product introductions and other strategic consumer communication objectives. Manage the communication with external groups of consumers to address concerns and questions that may arise (sustainability, health and wellness, etc.) Develop or modify crisis management process to ensure timely and accurate responses to the key stakeholders. Manage all media contacts and serve as the lead point person on media interactions that help promote and/or impact the organization. Actively engage, cultivate, and manage press relationships to ensure coverage surrounding Nissin Foods’ programs, special events, public announcements, policy initiatives, and other projects. Work with the management across the organization to identify internal and external communications opportunities and solutions, and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises IRI analytical staff, communication associate as well as a number of outside agencies. Responsibilities include training employees, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with company policies, safety rules and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited college or university; and 10+ years related experience in Consumer Packaged Goods Manufacturing industry and/or combination of experience, education and training. Master’s Degree preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, packaging regulations, consumer research methodologies and approaches. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of mangers, clients, customer and research focus groups. Ability to provide clear direction to staff.

Ability:

Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of data both mathematical and diagram form; deal in several abstract and concrete variables. Generate new ideas, propose changes and encourage innovation. Succeed in a fast-paced environment. Act as an enthusiastic and energetic team player who works collaboratively and diplomatically with others.

Software:

Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; NAV or similar ERP, GSI/GTIN database.

Other Qualifications:

Must have intermediate knowledge and understanding on how to review IRI, Retail Link and other third-party data sources, and intermediate knowledge of marketing research methodology. The basic understanding of general accounting principles
