Job Description:
  • Builds new and renovates existing infrastructure/facilities to allow the site to expand and grow to accommodate increasing production demands.
  • Interacts with all departments and vendors to execute high-quality construction and root cause analysis problem-solving in a matrix-style organization.
  • Leads and manages multiple complex capital projects up to approximately (USD) 2 million, or single projects up to (USD)12 Million, and project teams of 3 people or more.

  • Functions within a technical, multi-discipline capacity to deliver capital investments to the organization by established capital management processes.

  • Conducts routine project core team and steering committee meetings and provides regular progress updates summarizing the status of projects.
  • Demonstrates a visible & tangible commitment to EHS, Lean Principles, and the Values in all work-related activities.
  • Obtains bids, coordinates construction projects for facilities and/or equipment repairs, negotiates contracts, and discusses projects.
  • Schedules capital activities to meet production needs.
  • Coordinates construction activities to minimize the impact on production.
  • In addition to the above, other assigned duties & projects deemed appropriate within the position scope.
  • Maintains Engineering Dashboard, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) data related to schedules, deliverables, budgets, spending, and approvals through all phases of the project.
  • Manages and updates project schedules in Microsoft Project.
  • Monitors and controls project spending versus CPA budgets.
  • Coordinates contractor access to facilities and manages contractor badges and EHS training for project-related activities.

  • Master's in engineering or MBA preferred.
  • PMP and/or EIT or PE or strong desire to pursue preferred.
  • Working knowledge and experience in managing construction projects.
