Performs trade specific repair and maintenance operations within the specific area of expertise. General maintenance of buildings and aquatic/ fitness areas, completion of maintenance requests. Engineering is expected to respond to all maintenance requests with a positive attitude and pleasant disposition. Preventive maintenance tasks will be assigned daily. Support the Emergency Response Team to handle emergencies around the resort.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work with computer base PM/Guest Service/ AES computer systems
  • Perform work requiring the specialized skill set of one or more of the following: HVAC/ refrigeration, plumbing, electrical and kitchen/laundry
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Work with other departments to accomplish a task.
  • Troubleshoot/repair electronic lock problems.
  • Troubleshoot/repair guest room safe problems.
  • Troubleshoot/correct Pay-Per View TV problems.
  • Follow instructions listed on the preventive maintenance/ daily work sheets.
  • Fix/repair domestic hot and cold water systems, minor electrical problems, lock problems, guest room safe problems, HVAC problem and other maintenance requests.
  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Troubleshoot/repair/replace electrical apparatuses, such as transformers, switches and wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
  • Minor carpentry repair such as repair bed posts, door trim, tables and chairs
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of all equipment and work area
  • Executes emergency procedures in accordance to property standards
  • Contribute to overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned.
