**This is not a remote position.

This is a full-time W-2 ONSITE opportunity (not remote)

We are seeking an Electrical Test Engineer with 3+ years of professional experience in testing hardware, firmware, and embedded products. More experience will be considered for a more senior position. This position will work with the engineering and test team and be specifically focused on automation of our firmware regression and manufacturing testers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality test automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop testers for power electronic embedded systems.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, firmware engineers, software engineers and system architects, to define test requirements and test system interfaces.

3. Assist with implementing a DFT strategy for all of Sol-Ark's end-to-end solutions.

4. Assist with implementing and maintaining all test automation portions of CI/CD pipelines for all projects.

5. Participate in the full product development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.

6. Participate in FMEAs, code reviews and other quality improvement initiatives.

7. Help develop, automate, and maintain various quality metrics for the company's products.

8. Debug and troubleshoot software and hardware integration issues, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.

9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to test automation and test improvement.

10. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical support when needed.

11. Assist with maintaining documentation for test designs, development processes, and project deliverables.

Requirements

Essential Skills, Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's in Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited US University.

2. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

3. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.

4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

5. At least 2 years of experience in embedded development or test.

6. Experience in programming languages like LabVIEW, TestStand, or Python.

7. Experience designing or maintaining production testers (bed of nails and end of line testers).

8. Experience automating builds and tests with software development tools (compilers, debuggers, IDEs, etc.).

9. Solid understanding of real-time operating systems, embedded systems architectures, and software/hardware integration.

10. Experience with database access and using databases for end-to-end testing.

11. Experience with low-level device drivers, peripheral interfaces, and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, etc.).

12. Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems using hardware and software debugging tools.

13. Familiarity with software configuration management tools and version control systems.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of power electronics and control algorithms.

2. Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.) for automation and testing purposes.

3. Experience in testing software for real-time control applications.

4. Experience in testing UI/UX software.

5. Experience with API testing.

6. Experience in database testing.

7. Experience with board layout.

8. Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.

9. Experience with CAD tools for design review.

10. Familiarity with at least one of the following cloud environments: AWS, Azure, GCP.
