Logistics & Inventory Support Assistant

The Logistics & Inventory Support Assistant is responsible for coordinating logistical product transfers between company locations, providing daily inventory support, and resolving tickets from the sales and inventory control departments. This role will also assist with procurement tasks and collaborate across teams to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sub-Rentals Coordination:
Assist with managing internal and external sub-rentals across various company locations to ensure smooth inventory flow. - Product Transfer & Logistics:
Facilitate product transfers between different locations, ensuring that logistical needs are met and inventory moves seamlessly across the organization. - Supplier Procurement:
Assist with sourcing and managing suppliers to meet product and logistical needs in a timely manner. - Inventory Management & Optimization:
Support the sales team in handling overbooking situations by reallocating inventory as necessary and providing strategic recommendations to optimize the usage of available stock. - Proactive Issue Resolution:
Work closely with the sales team to identify potential inventory issues and resolve them in advance to minimize disruptions in operations. - Ticket Resolution:
Address and resolve inventory-related tickets submitted by the sales and inventory control departments to ensure timely responses and problem-solving. - Additional Support:
Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the operations of both the logistics and inventory teams.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
1-2 years of experience in logistics, inventory management, or a related field, preferably in the events or rental industry. - Technical Skills:
Proficiency with inventory management systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and experience with logistics software or ERP systems is a plus. - Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. - Problem-Solving Skills:
Demonstrated ability to think critically, anticipate challenges, and provide solutions to ensure smooth operations. - Attention to Detail:
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in inventory and logistics management. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move products as needed (up to 50 lbs), and willingness to assist with physical inventory tasks. - Work Environment:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. - Flexibility:
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet the demands of the business.
