Position Summary As the first point of contact for all associate relations interactions for the assigned division(s) within the banner, provides advice and counsel to management with concerns on store or department level associates. Maintains accurate records of all interactions in the case management system, forwarding any interactions requiring research or more in-depth analysis/response to subject matter experts, and ensures cases are closed with all required documentation. Provides functional, technical and process guidance to ensure the company's treatment of associates is fair, respectful, and consistent with our core values and policies promoting positive working relationships and driving associate engagement with the banner's business and priorities. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Responds to incoming phone calls, self-service tickets, or compliance case management system from associates, managers, terminated associates, family members and outside agencies or vendors, etc. Provides day-to-day advice, counsel and guidance on associate relations questions, processes, policies and procedures to management and associates. Provides recommendations to associates on how to respond to and mediate work situations, management/associate conflict, peer relations, and allegations of discriminatory practices based on independent evaluation of the situation. Interprets policy and procedures consistently and objectively, specific to the individual circumstance. Makes Termination or disciplinary decisions following an investigation if an associate violated company policy Recognizes when escalation to a subject matter expert is needed. Documents HR transactions in the case management system (details of each call, self-service ticket, or investigation case), and other applications as appropriate, within scheduled timeframes and with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Utilizes the case management system, knowledge base and other tools to actively manage caseload in accordance with team production goals and established service level objectives. Identifies process improvements and/or enhancements to HR knowledge, customer service skills and productivity. Work in a collaborative manner while maintaining confidentiality of complex and sensitive subjects Make recommendations for policy changes or enhancements based on experience with decision making around policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Must have access to internet Provide Advise & Counsel to executive & Associates Business partnerships Associates and executives seeking advise and counsel on AR topics.
