Electronics Assembler III

Irvine, CA (Onsite)

Position Summary

Thales is looking for an Electronics Assembler III to perform within his / her area of technological specification, tasks in the manufacturing process in accordance with the manufacturing documentation and the time allocated, using the resources available (including conventional and/or digital machine tools) and inspects his / her own work.

In this position, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Tier 1 - Referral Bonus Payout - $2,500

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Works from assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components.
  • Identifies and selects components to be integrated into sub-assembly and assembly units.
  • Utilizes a wide range of tools including soldering iron.
  • Interfaces with PC to record job activities.
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings and understand engineering revision nomenclature.
  • Know how to read and follow assembly work instructions including drawing assemblies and MAI (manufacturing assembly instructions).
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or one-year certificate from college/technical school or two to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in electronic mechanical assembly and/or cabling and harnessing.
  • Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Excellent Team player with proven ability to accomplish goals through collaboration.
  • Flexible with jobs that can assist in other areas.

Special Position Requirements
  • Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday. May be required to work outside the core day shift hours or on weekends.
  • Physical Environment: Primarily manufacturing/production area; occasionally warehouse.
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15-30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
