Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA (www.cruzinc.us ) has an open position for a FMS Principal Special Projects Coordinator. The job location is at Fort Campbell, KY in support of the ARSOAC Aviation Maintenance Directorate (AAMD).
Scope: Serve as special projects coordinator and business analyst within the AMSO providing managerial support and subject matter expertise in the operation of assigned mission areas. Serve as the senior logistics advisor and project coordinator. Duties span broad and various elements of acquisition and logistics, requiring the incumbent to be able to exercise a wide range of technical expertise and knowledge to plan, develop, implement, review, analyze, measure, and improve all aspects of ARSOA maintenance and logistics effecting the successful, efficient and timely completion of assigned projects.
Responsibilities:
Serve as senior advisor to the AMSO OIC on all matters affecting aviation sustainment.
Provide executive-level staffing actions and briefings for all integrated logistics support programs.
Evaluate priorities in relation to strategic plans and recommend corrective actions.
Develop logistics support plans for all mission design systems and related subsystems.
Serve as a Senior Logistician and Project Officer with depot maintenance management coordination responsibility for aircraft refurbishment and depot maintenance programs, aircraft modification programs, unit maintenance augmentation, and Aviation Unit Maintenance/Aviation Intermediate Maintenance (AVUM/AVIM) programs within CONUS/OCONUS.
Provide analysis, problem identification, and recommended solutions for the Units most difficult, complex, and critical maintenance processes.
Conduct independent or coordinated studies to identify, evaluate, or recommend solutions to significant management problems.
Provide input on Modification Work Order (MWO) requests.
Provide recommendations for issues that require new procedures resulting in changes to established work methods.
Serve as a Sustainment Projects Officer that cuts across ARSOA requirements determination, systems integration and logistics functional areas including the planning, programming and execution of weapon system and subsystem sustainment.
Provide input and direction into automated and database business analysis tools, modeling, and concepts including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Plan, test, validate, and implement Corrosion Control and Mitigation best business practices at all levels across the 160th SOAR, ARSOAC, vendors, and customers to best protect DOD's financial investment in repair parts and aircraft.
Perform routine clerical, administrative, and logistics tasks as required in support of the AMSO.

Education and Experience Required:
Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or an Aviation discipline.
Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Level 1 certified (any discipline).
10 years experience working in Army aviation logistics.
6 years experience working in staff-level aviation maintenance management.

Education and Experience-Desired:
Masters degree in Business Administration or a technical field.
Defense Acquisition University Level 2 certified (any discipline).
4 years experience in the 160th SOAR as an aviation officer in either Operations and/or Maintenance assignments.
3 years experience on the USASOAC or USSOCOM staff as an ARSOA staff officer.
