Maintenance Technician Trainee We are looking for a Maintenance Technician Trainee for 1st shift. As part of our Maintenance Department you will assist with the maintenance of the plant's operating equipment, follow preventive maintenance schedules, along with a variety of other duties. Successful candidate will need to demonstrate their knowledge by completing and passing both written and oral examinations. Essential Functions Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricate and cleans parts. Starts devices to test their performance. Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Initiates purchase order for parts and machines. Repairs electrical equipment. Must work as a team player, ensuring product specifications are attained in a safe and efficient manner and communicate well with other team members. Must follow company's GMP's, SOP's, Plant Rules and Policies. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Strives to satisfy the requirements of internal and external customers. Responsible for keeping work area clean. Other duties may be assigned. Education and Experience High School diploma or GED. Industrial maintenance experience a plus. Basic industrial mechanical systems, electricity and utilities. Location: Holland, MI Time Type: Full time Department: Facilities Maintenance - 3rd Shift
