Occupational Therapist OTR/L Coastal Kids Occupational Therapy, PLLC is looking for an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our close-knit team of Speech, Physical, Occupational, Feeding and Pelvic Health Therapists. Will consider new graduates should they meet the following requirements below. The position is for a full time (afternoons a must) Independent Contractor position. You will have the flexibility to make your own schedule Two week onboarding/training included as well as ongoing supervision. Come see the difference at Coastal Kids We are located in Arundel Maine. The candidate must possess the following requirements: * Must LOVE working with children * Masters Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy * State of Maine OT License * NBCOT accredited * Minimum of (1) year of Pediatric Occupational Therapy experience (will consider new graduate) * Ability to work closely with our team * Superb communication skills * Excellent organizational skills * Ability to write and articulate findings * Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification * Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) * Carry own liability insurance * Sensory Integration Certification/Training a plus * Reflex Integration Certification a plus * Therapeutic Listening Certification a plus * Oral Motor Certification a plus * Feeding Therapy certification a plus The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for: * Providing Occupational Therapy services to pediatric clients, this includes evaluations, screenings, plan of care, 1-1 treatment, co treats and social skills groups/groups, re-evaluation as needed. * Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals (e.g. parents, teachers, physicians, administration, team members, aides, other professionals, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providing services in compliance with established guidelines. * Coordinates meetings and processes for clients (e.g. testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences or the purpose of presenting evaluation results and/or providing training to parents/staff. * Consults as needed for parent trainings, providing information therapeutic interventions and/or implementing prescribed treatment plans. * Interprets medical reports within the scope of an Occupational Therapists experience and goals for the purpose of providing information and/or ensuring that treatment/intervention plans are appropriate. * Maintains files and/or records (e.g. progress reports, activity logs, billing information, treatment plans, required documentation, quarterly reports, screening results, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of information as required for reference and/or compliance. * Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g. training, IEPs, team meetings, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information.
