Transportation Customer Service Specialist I Join Intermountain Health to apply for the Transportation Customer Service Specialist I role. Job Description This position represents the face of Intermountain Healthcare to customers, patients, and physicians who use Courier services to transport items between facilities and organizations within Intermountain Healthcare. It is responsible for caring for customers' needs by providing professional, helpful, and high?quality service. The role drives a light or medium duty vehicle (less than 10,000 GVW) to deliver equipment, packages, specimens, and supplies on routes ranging from a few miles to over 500 miles per day. Schedule & Hours Schedule: Monday Friday Hours: 3:00?pm 11:30?pm Holidays: Sign?up basis Responsibilities Safety Awareness: Safely operate a motor vehicle in a variety of conditions and environments to complete deliveries. Stay aware of conditions affecting safety and protect personnel. Service Focus: Ensure the customer's needs are the primary focus. Show interest in and understanding of customer expectations. Meet or exceed customer expectations and gather feedback. Effective Communication: Clearly convey information and ideas in a manner that engages the customer and encourages feedback. Managing Work: Manage time effectively, organize work, set priorities, and determine correct use of resources. Initiative: Support department goals, take a proactive role in initiatives, and strive to continuously improve processes and service levels. Adaptability: Adjust to dynamic business needs and conditions with a positive attitude. Learn new methods, procedures, or techniques to improve effectiveness. Minimum Qualifications Valid driver's license with no restrictions. A DOT Medical Card. Six months of experience in a customer service or logistics position. Meet the routine driver requirements per Intermountain Healthcare's Motor Vehicle Driver Policy (typically fewer than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years). At least 21 years old (DOT requirement for operating a commercial motor vehicle). For Couriers: Ability to obtain a valid CDL Medical card within 30 days of hire. Experience using internet and email applications. Demonstrated ability to understand and follow department procedures and Intermountain Healthcare's Motor Vehicle Driver Policy. Physical Requirements Climbing, lifting, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, squatting/kneeling, standing, walking. Location Home Services Salt Lake City; Work City: South Jordan, Utah.
