Responsibilities

Administer and perform the credit and collection functions for both the manufacturing and distribution divisions. Review credit applications, process credit reports, obtain credit references, establish and maintain customer credit files. Review aging report and call customers on delinquent accounts and verify or secure payment. Monitor credit queue, verify payment and release orders. Monitor the over limit orders for credit approval and communicate status with mills. Reconcile short pays or payment discrepancies and resolve issues. Reports and/or relays daily cash receipt information to other departments. Maintain customer account relations. Responsible for the receivable investment measured by DSO, currency, and bad debt losses. Compile and analyze reports for use in accounting, credit, inventory, forestry, purchasing, production, raw materials, sales, shipping etc. Perform other economic and account profitability analysis. May approve credit limits. Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: HS Diploma, GED, or two (2) years equivalent work experience. Working conditions are a normal office environment with minimal physical exertion.

Preferred Qualifications: Typically five (5) or more years of experience in a related job role such as credit experience and financial services background. Ability to understand and apply mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages, etc. Uses solid editing and proofreading skills in composing the format and content of technical documents.
