Works under the direction of the Operations Manager to coordinate and complete all EMIC projects and events on time, within budget and within scope. Must oversee all aspects of each project and event including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, updating action status and summarizing the progress. The position is onsite.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate EMIC events, projects, and activities in cooperation with senior leadership and church staff
  • Oversees EMIC event team members
  • Identify and define the scope of each event by establishing clear objectives, work breakdown structure and resource requirements within the church vision and mission
  • Monitors all steps in the project plan and assures the tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Monitors all expenses and in the overall budget for each project and event, tracking and property reporting all costs and expenses associated with the event.
  • Assists in coordinating special receptions, VIP events, and meals
  • Assist with gift preparation - purchasing, coordination with volunteers, delivery of baskets
  • Prepare linens, dishes, etc., for special events and dinners
  • Assist in planning menus, groceries purchase, for small and large events
  • Train volunteers for special events, speakers' room, and hospitality teams
  • Order online products for Speakers Room and VIP events
  • Demonstrates exceptional stewardship of project funds
  • Must be proficient in using Smartsheet to track and properly records all required actions of a project event.
  • Evaluates and report on event and process optimization as part of the annual Church goals. Provides qualitive input to the project or event after action report; Records lesson learned for historical use.
  • Collaborate with the communication team to optimize marketing strategies utilizing church website, social media and other channels
  • Coordinates event details with the Social Media and Web teams to insure proper advertising and updates
  • Communicates upcoming events, ensuring all staff are aware of upcoming events
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Recruits and coordinates volunteers for each event as needed
Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:
  • High school or GED required
  • Must be computer literate and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • High level of spiritual and emotional maturity
  • Knowledge of biblical truths
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of event planning strategies and processes
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Adept in problem solving and time management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detailed, with a keen eye for spotting inaccuracies
  • Able to take direction and be a team player
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:
  • Standard office equipment
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Able to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to pull, push, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, move or carry equipment
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Normal office hours for the 80% of the time
  • Must be flexible with work hours when hosting an event.
OTHER:
  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives.
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension and division.
  • Must maintain a good attendance record.
  • Must be a member of EMIC, regularly attend church services, and support the leadership of EMIC.
  • Must be a regular tither to EMIC.
  • Must possess a servant's heart and operate as Armor Bearer.
  • Sensitive to needs of others, which includes a love and commitment to the members and congregation of EMIC and Kenneth Copeland Ministries staff.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with diverse groups of people, considerable skill and diplomacy in communication. Ability to build effective working relationships inside and outside departments or groups.
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative. Ability to react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround.
  • Operates with pre-emptive thinking and must be discerning and able to make good judgment calls with minimum supervision.
