This opportunity will allow you to regularly use your mind, your technical know-how, and your desire to help, make your customer's day and at the same time earn a good living and build valuable translatable skills.Pay: $20 - $25 per hour (Base plus commission pay)Our pay structure is based on a base hourly rate, individual and team sales incentives as well as per piece for specific installs and repairs. We provide a $20.00 per hour minimum pay guarantee during your first 6 months so that you have the time to really learn our business. If you perform at a higher level than the guaranteed minimum, during the first 6 months, you will earn more than this guarantee. High-performing team members earn over $25 per hour.Weekend Shift Differential Pay: In retail being open on weekends is a must. We provide a $2 to $3 per hour pay increase for all weekend shift hours, depending on if your weekend hours are at the standard rate or overtime rate.Training: No prior experience with our products or services is required as we will take care of the training, all you need is a background in customer service and sales. Paid training for the position will take place in our Salem location M-F for the first 2 to 3 weeks.If you like to provide excellent customer service, enjoy sales and troubleshooting, and would also enjoy learning to repair consumer electronic devices. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.QualificationsPrevious retail experience preferredComprehensive understanding of the store productsAdvanced customer service skillsBasic math skillsThe ability to use a cash registerStrong level of professionalism at workExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPatience when dealing with difficult customersProblem-solving and conflict resolution skillsValid driver's license and clean driving record preferredPhysical Requirements / Work EnvironmentThis position requires the associate to regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle or touch; frequently talk, hear, and lift up to 50 pounds; and occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach above shoulders, and lift more than 50 pounds.The position requires the associate to regularly use electrical cables, simple hand tools, a magnifying glass, spot welders, automotive and electronic testing equipment, as well as regular use of a phone, fax, computer, and printer/copier.While performing the responsibilities of this position, the associate will occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and the risk of electrical shock. Protective clothing and/or equipment used in this position includes goggles, gloves, and steel-toed shoes.
