Drawing on our entrepreneurial spirit, our employees are encouraged each day to rise to challenges and embrace opportunities to make a difference.Lexington Insurance is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.How you will create an impactSupport consistent underwriting best practices, in accordance with underwriting guidelines, to ensure rating, pricing, profitability, and structuring adequacy.Ability to exercise judgment, negotiate and make sound business decisions effectively based on increased level of authority.Responsible for assigning and managing the work of a team of underwriters.Assist underwriters in executing on strategic initiatives. Provide support and develop solutions to their issues/concerns (system, guidelines, training, reports, new project request, product amendments).Renders alternative outcomes for more difficult situations and makes real-time decisions in a fast-paced environment characterized by ambiguity and change.Assist underwriters in collaborating with Distribution, Territory Managers, and other line(s) of business underwriters to target desirable accounts and cross selling opportunities from brokers.What youll need to succeedEffective Team and People Manager, able to attract, engage, retain, and develop a high performing team to meet current and future business needs with ability to clearly articulate and execute plans.Commercial Insurance Company, Agency or Brokerage experienceAdvanced knowledge of Excess & Surplus Property line of business, including product features, forms, regulatory environment and risks etc.Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university preferred.Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.Ready to take your career to the next level?
