Job Description

Are you a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a passion for precision manufacturing? We are seeking a talented Machine Grinder to join our team. In this role, you will operate a variety of grinding machines to shape, sharpen, and finish metal parts to exacting specifications.

Location: Royal Oak, MI.

Pay rate: $17/hr.

Hours: 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate grinding machines, including but not limited to bench grinders, angle grinders, and surface grinders.
  • Select appropriate grinding wheels and abrasives based on material and desired finish.
  • Grind and polish metal parts to specified dimensions and tolerances.
  • Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain and clean grinding equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in machine grinding or related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of grinding wheel selection and operation.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
  • Driver's License preferred.
